Y mae Erthygl 35 Cytundeb y Cenhedloedd Unedig ar Hawliau’r Plentyn yn ymwneud â mesurau i rwystro cipio, gwerthu neu fasnachu mewn plant:

Dylai’r Llywodraeth ofalu na chaiff plant eu cipio neu eu gwerthu.*

* Y mae’r testun hwn yn dod o fersiwn gryno o’r Cytundeb yn unig. Nid yw testun llawn y Cytundeb wedi’i gyfieithu i’r Gymraeg. Fodd bynnag, y mae cyfieithiad Saesneg yr erthygl hon fel a ganlyn:

"States Parties shall take all appropriate national, bilateral and multilateral measures to prevent the abduction of, the sale of or traffic in children for any purpose or in any form."
